As part of our ongoing commitment to security, we deployed a significant update to CloudRadial's authentication system on the week of April 14th, 2025.
This new OIDC-based authentication system provides a faster, more responsive login experience and enhanced security for sensitive business data. This was done both to improve security and to improve performance - with OIDC, users will experience a quicker, smoother login and more reliable access to the CloudRadial platform.
What Changes Are There?
Starting April 15th, 2025, the following changes took place:
All Users:
- Automatic Contact Log In through a ticket link is no longer available. All users will have to log in to gain access to the portal after using the link.
- Logging in with ConnectWise portal credentials is no longer an available option.
Web Users:
- Web sessions will expire after 14 days of inactivity.
Teams Users:
- CloudRadial Portal sessions will now be preserved when users switch tabs or apps in Microsoft Teams.
Desktop Users:
- Desktop users will have to log in again. Once they have logged in, CloudRadial Desktop will automatically refresh their access token, retaining the convenience of instant access to the portal from authenticated endpoints.
- Partner Administrative functions are no longer available to Desktop Users. Partner Users will now be required to use CloudRadial on the web for administration.
What Do You Need to Do?
- Any desktop user will need to re-log in to CloudRadial. Users using SID/Windows Login through AD will retain their auto-login capabilities.
