Once a client has approved a Planner item and it is in the Planning stage, you can attach an existing project from your PSA to it and move the item to In Progress. The item then shows the project's live details from the PSA, so the client can follow the work from the same card they approved.
Requirements
- Projects must be enabled for the company through its Feature Set. See Understanding Projects in CloudRadial UCP.
- Display projects in Planner must be on under Partner > Settings > PSA > Planner Settings, and the client's "Show Projects from PSA" option must be enabled in the Planner's Settings.
- A supported PSA with projects: ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA or Kaseya BMS.
- The project must already exist in the PSA. CloudRadial does not create the project for you.
- Permission to edit the Planner for the company.
Linking a project
- Open Projects & Planning > Planner for the client and click the item. It must be in the Planning stage.
- In the Linked Records section of the Planner Item panel, click Link a Project. (Until something is linked, this section reads "No quote or project is linked to this item yet.")
- Type part of the project name in Search projects by name and click Search. Only projects that belong to this client are returned. If you see "No projects found for this client," confirm the project exists in your PSA under the same company and that its board or type is not excluded in Partner > Settings > PSA > Project Settings.
- Select the project. The item moves to In Progress and displays the project's details.
What the card shows after linking
The card reads the project's status, dates and related details directly from the PSA. CloudRadial does not manage the project lifecycle from the Planner: changes to the project are made in your PSA and reflected on the card.
The link is stored on the Planner item itself, so it survives subscription content republishing.
Unlinking
Open the item and remove the project link. The item keeps its current stage; move it manually if needed.
