3. Putting Your Hudu Article(s) in CloudRadial
Once you've got the API set up with Hudu, you'll notice a new option when creating knowledge base articles. There will be a selection - From Hudu. Here's how the setup works.
Putting the Hudu Articles in Partner > Content for Mass Distribution
- Head to Partner > Content
- Navigate to an existing Articles content package
- You can also create one from the +Add button at the top right
- Once in the content package, create a new article via the +Add button at the top right
- Set Category to be the folder under which the article will reside
- Set Subject as the title of the article in CloudRadial
- Set the Article to "From Hudu" rather than from the editor
- Perform a Lookup using the button on the right to find the article you want to bring in.
- Select Submit at the bottom.
You can add additional Hudu articles as necessary to this content package, provided that their target audience is the same (specifically, company groups and user groups).
Once you set the audience and publish the package, the article will appear within client's knowledge base(s).
Troubleshooting Hudu Article Issues
Sometimes, you may experience issues with images not pulling into the articles within CloudRadial. If this is the case, you may need to make the article public-facing in order for the API to allow the screenshots to pull through.
To do so:
- Log into Hudu
- Locate the article(s) that you're experiencing issues with
- On the right-hand side, locate and select the option to Create Public Share Link
That's all there is to it. Creating the article as a public share link, even without sharing the link with anyone specifically, unlocks the ability for images to be pulled through the API connection to CloudRadial.
Hudu FAQ
- I don't see the Hudu option when adding an article at the company level. What gives?
- Hudu articles can only be added via Partner > Content OR at the company level for the Partner-level company.
The reason is that the lookup function for Hudu articles spans across all companies in Hudu - so making it available on a company level opens up the possibility for data leakage and article distribution to wrong companies.
- Hudu articles can only be added via Partner > Content OR at the company level for the Partner-level company.

This is great news! I am testing but it looks like this only shows 'shared' articles or doesnt find sub-folder articles (or both).
