CloudRadial UCP provides multiple home page options that can be customized to meet specific client needs and deliver tailored user experiences. The Search Home page represents a streamlined approach to portal navigation, combining simplicity with comprehensive functionality.
The Search Home page enhances the client experience through a clean, minimalist interface that emphasizes both quick access and discoverability. This home page option delivers two primary benefits:
-
Direct Navigation - Provides immediate access to frequently-used portal features, including ticket submission forms, open tickets, M365 status, and more
- Note: This can also be customized with your own preferences - more details below!
- Unified Search - Features a centrally-positioned search bar that enables users to discover and access all portal resources from a single location
Before configuring the Search Home page, ensure you have a working understanding of Feature Sets within CloudRadial UCP. Feature Sets control the availability and presentation of portal features for clients. For detailed information on Feature Sets, refer to the Feature Sets article linked here.
This article covers the following topics:

Before You Get Started (Prerequisites)
Understanding Feature Sets
Before configuring the Support Home page, ensure you have a working understanding of Feature Sets within CloudRadial UCP. Feature Sets control the availability and presentation of portal features for clients.
For detailed information on Feature Sets, refer to the Feature Sets article linked here.
Understanding Custom Items
Search Home behaves identically to Support Home when it comes to customization. Both home pages pull from the same pool of Applications (Menu Items) that you've tagged for display, giving you consistent control over what clients see.
Key Points:
- Any Application marked with "Show on the Service Home page if menus are enabled" will appear on both Support Home and Search Home layouts
- The same setup requirements and configuration steps apply to both home page types
- Custom items will display alongside the search functionality, maintaining the search-first experience while adding your preferred shortcuts
For complete instructions on creating and configuring custom items — including setup requirements, checkbox settings, and content package deployment — refer to the article here. The process is identical for Search Home, so there's no need to duplicate those steps.
Quick Reminder: To enable custom items on Search Home, you'll need:
- The Search Home feature set assigned with "Use menu items flagged as Support Home" enabled
- Applications configured with the "Show on the Service Home page if menus are enabled" checkbox
Enabling and Assigning the Search Home Page
By default, the Search Home page is a modification of the most popular CloudRadial UCP home page, the Support Home page. This set of instructions details how to turn this on at its simplest level.
To deploy the simple Search Home page for your clients, follow these steps:
- Log in to your CloudRadial UCP tenant
- Navigate to Partner > Settings
- In the Configuration section of the right-hand menu, select Feature Sets
- Choose one of the following options:
- Select + Add to create a new Feature Set with the Search Home page
- Select an existing Feature Set to modify the home page for any currently assigned clients
- Select Search Home as your home page option
- Note: You can still make any customizations to the available features as you see fit; however, keep in mind that removing access to features such as Report a Problem or Request Service will affect the available tiles on the home page.
- Select Submit to finalize your Feature Set creation
You will then need to assign the Feature Set to clients. To do so:
- Navigate to Partner > Clients
- Select the Edit All button at the top right
- Select as many clients as you wish to have the Feature Set
- Use the Features button in the top navbar to select the one with the Support Home page
- Select Submit to finalize your submission
Upon page refresh, the home page for that client will change to the Search Home page.
Additional Customization Options
Unlike any of the other home pages, Search Home comes with a few extra opportunities for customization and branding to make the experience stand out for your clients.
Adding Your Branding to the Search Home Page
You can add an optional logo to the Search Home page by doing the following:
- Navigate to Partner > Settings
- Select Account & Branding at the top right and select the Branding tab
- Find the section for Support Home Logo URL
- Best Practices for this Logo: Ideally, a 4:1 ratio sizing (ex: 1200px x 300px)
- Select Submit to finalize your settings
Customizing the Search Home Welcome Message
You can customize the welcome message that users see on their Search Home page by doing the following:
- Navigate to Partner > Settings
- Select Account & Branding at the top right and select the Branding tab
- Find the section for Support Home Welcome Message and change it to your preferences
- Select Submit to finalize your settings
Note that this message area accepts CloudRadial tokens, which allows you to dynamically customize your message per user, or even per client. For a list of usable tokens, please see this article.
Customizing the Search Experience (Fastpath)
The Search Home page centers around CloudRadial's Fastpath search functionality, which is the same intelligent search bar users see throughout the portal in the top nav bar. While Search Home gives this feature prominence, you can customize how Fastpath behaves to match your support strategy.
Fastpath Customization Options
From Partner > Settings > Account & Branding > Fastpath (tab), you can configure:
- Placeholder text to guide users (e.g., "Search for articles, tickets, or ask a question...")
- Ticket creation directly from search results when users can't find answers
- PSA routing for tickets created through search
These settings apply globally across your portal, ensuring a consistent search experience whether users start from Search Home or use the navigation bar search.
- For complete Fastpath configuration instructions, including prompt customization and PSA routing setup, see the Fastpath documentation.
