Security roles allow you to custom-craft specific permissions for the users loaded into your CloudRadial tenant. Permissions affect the overall visibility and general functionality of each and every feature within your portal.
You can define a Default Security Role to ensure that your users are tuned to the level of permissions that you desire, directly from the beginning of their portal experience.
Setting a Default Role
You can set a Default Role from any role - either one you have custom created, or one of the four system default roles. To do so:
- Navigate to Partner > Security
- Select the Roles tab
- Select the Role you wish to set as the Default Role
-
Check the box to set it as a Default Role for New Users
- Select Submit to finalize your selection
You will now see a green Default sign appear with your selected role, indicating that you have successfully changed the default.
Please Note: Every user in the system must have at least one role assigned to them. If a user has no roles assigned, the system will automatically apply your Default Role as the baseline. As you enumerate the Default Role, keep this in mind.
FAQs
