Today we'll be looking at an overview of communications features within CloudRadial. This video will cover the different ways to disseminate information within the portal. I'll be giving use cases for each feature and best practices and how to send information to your clients from your tenant.
The four main areas of communication will be the Knowledge Base, Messages, Courses, and Quick Starts.
The first two can be found under the company tab and the second two can be found under the University tab. Let's start with the knowledge base.
To begin, we'll navigate to company on the left-hand side of the feature sets and click on Knowledge Base.
Note that these can also be found with certain feature sets. For example, if you've got your homepage set to support, we'll also see Knowledge Base articles populating beneath the support icons, as seen here.
Knowledge Base articles are best suited for quick guides and rapid information sharing.
Let's take a look at this one 'How to video call on Skype?'. This one's handwritten directly within the text editor of CloudRadial.
However, you can also set your knowledge base articles to pull data from another site like this ITGlue example right here. Note that this only works if the document is public-facing.
This isn't integration, so it won't work if it's behind a password-protected wall.
Next up, the messages.
They're right beneath the knowledge base in the company.
Drop-down messages are best suited for communications like welcome and mass status updates.
You can efficiently add these for all of your clients via partner and content.
Then scrolling down the messages you can see that I've got a couple of MSP updates here.
Pushing out messages via partner content is an efficient way to put it in the inbox if everybody you want to see it on the client side specifically, it'll show under their inbox and company and messages.
Here's what one looks like.
Now let's move on to courses under University > Courses.
On the left-hand side of the feature sets are courses. Courses are an excellent tool for training without leaving the portal. You can set up customized questions with passing percentages and video materials to help your clients train on various things.
Let's look at this HIPAA one as an example.
There's an option for people to enroll into the course, and they can also see the lessons at a high level.
There's a lot to courses, but the courses video is coming up soon.
Be sure to watch it to learn how to put together a course of your home.
Following courses we have quick starts which is also in the university feature set.
Quick Starts are a great place to put PDF material that you received from partners or even ones that you created yourself. Adding a quick start is very easy.
Simply click on the add button at the top right and fill out the forms as required.
You can upload a file directly, but you can also pull it to the Internet, much like the knowledge base.
The difference here is that you can select an icon and change the color for them.
So it becomes more visually appealing and easy to understand.
At the top, you'll see that there's groups too, so you can even create content that's available to certain user groups if you've got those set up
Using these four tools in conjunction with one another can help you push out relevant information and manageable sections for your client. Be sure to experiment with each to find a combination that works for you.
