Not all clients need the same portal experience. Your enterprise clients might prioritize ticket management and service health monitoring, while smaller clients focus on knowledge base articles and training resources.
CloudRadial UCP's Feature Sets let you control exactly what each client sees when they log in—transforming a generic portal into a tailored service hub that drives engagement and reduces support requests.
By customizing home pages to match client needs, you can surface the most relevant tools, applications, and information for each business, ensuring they find value from their very first click.

Before You Get Started (Prerequisites)
Before configuring the home pages, ensure you have a working understanding of Feature Sets within CloudRadial UCP. Feature Sets control the availability and presentation of portal features for clients.
For detailed information on Feature Sets, refer to the Feature Sets article linked here.
Understanding the Standard Home Pages
The five standard choices for the client's home page are as follows:
| Home Page Name | Description and Use Case |
| Company Applications |
Displays a list of applications linking to anywhere you choose. Best For: Providing a client intranet where clients work together with you to define quick links to anything that matters to them. |
| Knowledge Base |
Displays the knowledge base page with quick article access. Best For: Clients who primarily need self-service support through documentation and want immediate access to help articles. |
| University Courses |
Displays the Courses page for training and education content. Best For: Clients with new employees requiring onboarding, or organizations prioritizing ongoing user training and M365 adoption. |
| Support Home |
Displays a consolidated view of ticketing options, knowledge base articles, and status information. Best For: Providing clients with a comprehensive support and reporting portal - our most popular choice for MSPs delivering full-service support with a technical emphasis. |
| Search Home |
Displays a search-focused interface for finding content across the portal. Best For: Organizations and clients who prefer search-first navigation to quickly locate specific information. |
Enhanced Customization with Support and Search Home Pages
The Support Home and Search Home pages offer flexible deployment options. Use them out-of-the-box or customize them to match your clients' specific needs.
Default Configuration
Without customization, these pages provide a support-focused experience with five standard tiles:
- Request Service
- Report a Problem
- Ticket Updates
- Microsoft 365 Updates (Requires M365 connection, will not appear without it)
- Microsoft 365 Status (Requires M365 connection, will not appear without it)
Custom Configuration
Transform these home pages by adding your own menu items alongside or instead of the defaults.
This lets you surface the tools and resources that matter most to each client - whether that's RMM dashboards, compliance tools, or client-specific applications.
How It Works: Custom home pages pull from your CloudRadial Applications/Menus. Any application tagged for the Service Home will appear as a tile on both Support Home and Search Home layouts.
Setup Requirements
To enable custom home pages, align these two settings:
-
Feature Set Configuration
- Assign the Support Home or Search Home feature set to the company
- Enable the checkbox: "Use menu items flagged as Support Home"
-
Application Configuration
- Create or edit Applications (Menu Items) for the company either at the company level or through the Content
- Enable the checkbox: "Show on the Service Home page if menus are enabled"
Important Notes:
- The Applications tab must be enabled in the Feature Set for this to work, as the custom applications are sourced from this tab
- Only applications with the "Show on Service Home..." checkbox will appear
- These settings only affect Support Home and Search Home layouts — other home page types ignore these flags
Example Use Case
A customized Support Home might include your standard support options plus:
- Direct Form Link - Quick access to service request forms
- Store - Hardware/software purchasing portal
- Microsoft 365 Training - Client-specific training resources
- And more!
See the image below for how this may reflect on a customized home page:
Combining Default and Custom Items
Want to keep the standard Support Home tiles while adding your own? You can manually recreate the default items as Applications, then add your custom options alongside them.
Steps to Recreate Default Items
- Create a Content Package with the standard Support Home items under the Menus section
- Enable the checkbox "Show on the Service Home page if menus are enabled" for each item
- Publish the package to companies using the Support Home or Search Home feature set
