Overview
CloudRadial is designed to be a whitelabeled portal experience. Most Partners set their own global portal branding and leave it at that, but there are cases where you may want to brand an individual client company with its own look.
Doing so can help portal adoption — people feel more connected to a portal that feels like their own home base. If you have not set your global branding yet, start with Setting Themes for Branding in CloudRadial UCP.
Where to Set Company Branding
- Log into your CloudRadial portal.
- Go to Partner > Clients.
- Find the client and use the three blue-dot menu to select Edit.
- Select the Branding tab, at the far right of the top menu options.
Note: When adding a new client you can skip step 3 and apply branding immediately after the company is created.
To apply anything on this tab you must first turn on Apply custom branding for this company? at the top. It is not necessary to brand every client — a client with this turned off follows the global branding you set at the partner level.
Company Branding Capabilities
1. Portal
This is where a client gets its own look. The controls are the same ones as on your partner-level Branding tab, and they override your global settings for this client only.
Base Theme and Default Mode. Pick the theme this client's users see, and whether the portal opens Light, Dark or System. The option list here is labeled slightly differently from the partner screen — "Default," "Dark," "White" rather than "Partner Set - Default" — because at this level every entry is already a company setting. CloudRadial Fluent is the current theme; the rest are legacy. See About the CloudRadial Fluent Theme.
You can also decide per client whether that client's users may choose their own appearance.
Brand colors. Two colors, each with an optional dark-mode value:
- Title Bar > Bar Color — the bar across the top of the portal
- Buttons & Links > Primary Color — buttons, links and selected items
Leaving a field blank means the theme default applies, not black. The defaults are a CloudRadial navy bar (#22335a) and a blue primary (#0067b8 in light mode, #5c9fff in dark). Leave the Dark Mode column blank and the portal handles dark mode for you — your bar color is used as set, and your primary is brightened so it stays readable.
Logos. Four slots: the two title-bar logos (one for dark backgrounds, one for light), and the Home Page logo in both a light-mode and a dark-mode variant.
Two things about client logos that catch people out:
- If you upload only one title-bar logo for a client, that image is used in both title-bar positions for that client. It does not fall back to your partner-level logo. Upload both variants.
- Favicons and desktop icons cannot be overridden per client. Those are partner-level only, so a client with its own domain, colors and logos still shows your favicon in the browser tab.
See Logos and Images Across the Portal for what each slot drives and the sizes that work.
2. Locale Options
Each customer can be further customized with date options for different time zones, currencies, and even paper sizes for reports. This accommodates Partners with clients in different parts of the world that adhere to different regional time, currency, and paper sizing standards.
3. Email Settings
Partners can override email settings for specific companies. These change the details within communications that reach them, such as approval emails and daily digests.
Most commonly this is used for co-managed environments where the default support is not the MSP — rather, it is the in-house or alternative team handling IT support.
4. Custom Domain
This section lets you give the company its own domain, separate from the region.cloudradial.com domain and from your own custom domain if you have one.
The domain follows the pattern customname.<site>.directportal.com, where the middle part is chosen from the site names available to you. As you type, a green mark appears to the right of the domain if it is available, and a red one if it is taken.
5. Log In (requires a Custom Domain)
If a custom domain is entered, an additional section appears for customizing that company's log in page. You can set a custom name, logo and wallpaper so the client's portal experience is branded end to end.
You can also enable or disable Microsoft 365 and Google log in options for that specific client.
