Setting the Client Portal Favicons

You can set the icons for the web application and the desktop application to match your own logo. Multiple images will be required to complete the customization.

The images are set under Partner > Settings > Account & Branding (at the top under Setup) > Branding tab.

Design Considerations

All images must be exact squares. The best icon is multi-colored on a transparent background that works well on light as well as dark backgrounds. If your icon is a single color, consider placing it on a solid background so that you don't need to consider the user's desktop theme.

Web Application

The required images for the web application are:

• 16x16 ICO file
• 32x32 PNG file
• 144x144 PNG file
• 180x180 PNG file
• 512x512 PNG file

You can create a ICO file using one of many ICO generator sites by searching "favicon generator". Browsers cache these settings - so you may need to clear the browser cache in order for the changes to show up. ICO files are not typically handled through file caches and may take longer to clear. Try opening your portal in a different browser (Firefox for example if you typically use Chrome) to see the changes.

Desktop Application

The required images for the desktop application are:

• 256x256 PNG file (used to generate a multi-size .ICO file used for desktop icons)
• 32x32 PNG file (used for the small icon shown inside the application)
