What is Localization?
Localization is the process of changing the language and adapting the user interface (UI) elements to meet the language and intent needs of users from around the world. As CloudRadial expands and moves more prominently towards a multi-national presence, the need for localization became more apparent and necessary.
Activating Language Changes at the Global Tenant Level
To change the language for the entire tenant:
- Navigate to Partner > Settings from the left-hand Feature Set menus
- Select Account & Branding from the Setup column on the right of the screen
- Select the Customization tab
- Under the Locale Options, select your preferred Default Language from the dropdown
- Select Submit to finalize your settings
You will need to refresh your browser to see the changes that take place. Anyone who was logged in at the time of the language change will also need to refresh their browser.
Activating Language Changes at the Company Level
Changing languages for individual companies is an Enterprise level feature. This will be grayed out for all other CloudRadial plans.
To learn more about upgrading to Enterprise CloudRadial, please contact sales@cloudradial.com.
With an Enterprise-level CloudRadial account:

- Locate the client you wish to override
- Use the three blue-dot menu on the given client and select Edit
- Select the Branding tab on the client
- Check the box to Apply custom branding for this company?
- Under Locale Options, select the appropriate language under Default Language
- Select Submit to finalize your settings
You will need to refresh your browser to see the changes that take place. Anyone who was logged in at the time of the language change will also need to refresh their browser.

- The language used doesn't sound/look quite right. What can CloudRadial do?
- Sometimes, Localization doesn't get the exact intent of a translation. For example, instead of saying "Home", in reference to a "Home" page, it may say the localized equivalent of "House". While similar, the context may not be relevant.
- If you notice a lot of these misinterpretations, please let us know via submitting a ticket. We will work to improve the accuracy of these translations to become the best versions of themselves over time.

- I already have customizations in place for my sidebar from editing Partner > Settings > Account & Branding > Sidebar. What happens to them if I attempt Localization from the dropdown?
- As Localization is a new feature, we understand that you may have worked around it by customizing the sidebar. Rest assured - changes made by the sidebar changes will override the Localized options to avoid any interruption in service or quality of the portal.
Removing these overrides will cause the portal to adhere to the localization options, should you have them applied.
