CloudRadial AutomationAI includes two workflow nodes for authoring knowledge as part of a workflow: Knowledge-Write and Knowledge-Consolidate. They let a workflow record what it produced into your knowledge base and keep that knowledge tidy over time. This article is for workspace users who build workflows in the Designer (Admin or Owner Role).
- Where the nodes live
- The Knowledge-Write node
- The Knowledge-Consolidate node
- When to use each
Where the Nodes Live
Both nodes are in the Designer palette alongside the other workflow nodes. Drag either onto the canvas and connect it like any other node. Because they write to your knowledge base, the documents they produce are then available to grounding (see the article on grounding agents and AI Prompt nodes on knowledge).
The Knowledge-Write Node
The Knowledge-Write node writes content into your knowledge base as part of a workflow run. Use it to capture a result — a summary, a report, a decision, or gathered data — into a Knowledge folder so later runs and grounded nodes can use it. It's how a workflow contributes to the knowledge base rather than only reading from it.
The Knowledge-Consolidate Node
The Knowledge-Consolidate node combines and tidies existing knowledge. Over many runs a folder can accumulate overlapping or redundant notes; consolidation merges related material so the knowledge stays useful and compact. Use it to keep a folder coherent instead of letting entries pile up.
When to Use Each
- Reach for Knowledge-Write when a workflow produces something worth keeping for later runs or for grounding
- Reach for Knowledge-Consolidate when a folder that's written to repeatedly needs its contents merged and cleaned up
The two are complementary: workflows write knowledge as they run, and consolidation keeps that knowledge manageable over time.
